Overnight Newborn Care Specialist

(AKA Night Nurse)

Rates starting at $45-50 per hour.

I take full care of newborns overnight so their exhausted parents can get the rest that they deserve, and mama can heal more effectively. My main focus is providing all of the love and support parents and baby need, but I also help them establish good daytime and nighttime routines. I also educate parents about gentle sleep conditioning from birth so we can get their babies sleeping 10-12 hours per night by 10-12 weeks! Most parents assume that their sleep is over after having a baby. With the right plan and environment in place and with consistency and effort, my babies learn how to fall asleep independently from the very beginning!

Duties include:

• Complete care of your newborn overnight

• Virtual support when I'm not there, so you'll never feel completely on your own

• Assistance with umbilical care

• Circumcision care

• If breastfeeding, bringing baby to mom and helping her get comfortable for feeding sessions

• Support for breastfeeding challenges

• Assistance with proper latching and feeding positions

• Monitoring baby’s nutritional intake

• Sleep conditioning and creating a personalized sleep plan

• Educating about safe sleep practices and all things newborn related

• Providing product recommendations and specialist referrals

• Teaching how to bathe, diaper and dress baby

• Burping techniques

• Soothing techniques

• Swaddling

• Teaching infant massage and reflexology to mitigate gas, reflux and cold symptoms

• Sterilizing and prepping bottles and pump supplies

• Natural resolutions for babies with reflux, gas and colic

• Troubleshooting challenges such as: feeding/latch issues; bottle aversion; reflux and silent reflux; breastfeeding/supply trouble; skin conditions; allergies; postpartum mood conditions; slow weight gain and more

• Maintaining a log of baby’s eating, sleeping and behavioral patterns

• Advice for sibling interaction

Sleep Consulting

Rates starting at $55 per hour.

I assess your baby's daytime and nighttime routines, teach various soothing methods and how it looks when babies truly need something, or if they're just having a hard time falling asleep and need a bit more soothing in the bassinet/crib. You'll receive a personalized sleep plan, including daytime and nighttime routines to work towards. I teach the differences between whining/fussing, crying and wailing as some parents aren't quite sure and over respond instead of allowing babies the space they need to learn how to self-soothe and fall asleep on their own. They're all capable and just need lots of opportunities to practice this invaluable skill! It's very gentle and we always respond when babies needs something.

Duties include:

• Developing a routine for bedtime, naps, feedings and play time

• Establishing healthy sleep habits and the right sleep environment for your baby's needs

• Teaching your baby to sleep through the night by 10-12 weeks of age

• Sleep conditioning and training using skilled and proven techniques

• In-person and virtual support so you'll always have access to me throughout our time together

In-home Newborn and Sleep Consultations

$150 per hour

In-home newborn care, or sleep consultation including safe sleep assessment; 1-hr minimum; add personalized sleep plan for $200 ($50 off sleep plan if purchased separately).



Personalized Sleep Plan

$250

Families will fill out an intake form and provide the last 48 hours of their baby's schedule. From this information, a customized sleep plan will be created. Each plan is over 5 pages, packed with valuable information and tips, including sleep goals, expectations, healthy sleep habits, safe sleep practices, and more. For an additional $50, families can add up to a 1-hour call for further guidance and support.

Please note that 24 hours of unlimited texts/emails may be added to any package at an additional $95 per day. Since I sleep during the day, any questions asked within the 24-hour timeframe will be answered ASAP, even if I'm not able to reply within the scheduled time.
